Operations Manager

Summary:

As Operations Manager, oversee and maintain the day-to-day smooth and efficient running of the operations including streamlining business processes to reduce cost, errors, and rework.  This role will also assist with implementing policies and strategies to build a culture that delivers quality performance and values diversity, fairness, and inclusion in the workplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Human resource management, e.g., recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities
  • Preparing and analyzing reports
  • Maintaining company documents in SharePoint
  • Supporting information technology requirements such as adding users to the company systems, resolving technical issues with vendors, monitoring adherence to security practices, etc.
  • Maintaining renewal of corporate documents including business certifications
  • Follow-up with customers regarding late payments
  • Researching government and corporate online systems to identify new opportunities
  • Assisting staff with personnel issues
  • Coordinating and attending meetings and conferences as needed
  • Providing project and administrative support

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years pf experience as an Operations or Project Manager
  • Ability to work effectively without direct leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate a consistent commitment to quality performance
  • Willingness to learn and develop into a Director of Operations position
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Government (federal, state, or local) is preferred

This is part-time contract position that will develop into a permanent full-time position within a short period of time. Initially approximately 20 hours per week.  Work can be fulfilled in the office and on a remote basis.  Candidate will be expected to work out of the office 2-3 days a week.  Office is located downtown Decatur GA.  Start date is ASAP.
